Every Wednesday during the school year students in grades 2nd through 5th and grades 6th through 8th meet at Redeemer Presbyterian Church for fellowship with their peers and volunteers. High School students also come and help out with games and other aspects of the evening. It is a great time to invite friends from school or other activities and you are encouraged to do just that. Many of the students on Wednesday attend other local churches on Sunday, we consider it a blessing to minister to them on Wednesday evenings. The evening consist of the following components. Prayer - We begin each evening in prayer asking God to give us a great love for Him and an enjoyable evening of fellowship and worship. Opening Game - Each Wednesday after we begin with prayer we play an opening game which gets people out of their seats and ready to have fun. Scripture Lessons - Spring 2008 we are working through the book of Mark learning how to read and study the Scriptures. Games - Each week there is a new game or popular old game for students to take part in. Junior High and Elementary are separate during this time. Some games we've played in the past are scatter ball, basketball, Pictionary, Three Man Sling-shot and many more. Free Time - While the evening officially starts at 6:30 we intentionally don't begin until around 6:45. We also try to end a little early to give them time to socialize and interact with friends they might not get to see much during the week. During this time there are often games of basketball or Horse being played in the gym while others just hangout with their friends.
